The Merrell MOAB 3 Tactical 8" Side Zip brings the legendary comfort of the Moab hiking platform to a rugged, mission-ready tactical boot. Engineered for law enforcement and military professionals, it features a waterproof full-grain leather and mesh upper with a breathable membrane to keep feet dry in any environment.

Designed for rapid response, the boot includes a durable side zipper for quick on/off capability. All-day support is provided by the COMFORTBASE™ contoured footbed and Merrell’s Air Cushion in the heel, while the high-performance Vibram® TC5+ outsole ensures superior traction on difficult terrain.

I was replacing a pair of North Face boots that I have had for something like 15 years. I had no complaints with this brand but I figured if Merrell was good enough for the ADF they should suit my needs. I’m heading into parts of the Australian outback this Christmas and wanted a pair of lightweight waterproof boots with great ankle support. I walked in these boots for an hour when I first got them. No rubbing or blisters and they were extremely comfortable, impressive. The side zip is a handy addition. In short, I am very happy with these boots and can’t wait to use them more ‘in the wild’.
